Redneck Woodstock

I know you are all wondering what this could possibly be.. let me explain. As I continue to tell of all the great experiences we have here in Oklahoma this is just one more example of why! Garet and I went to a concert with several bands. Such as Cross Canadian Rag Weed and other red dirt country bands. Very good music, but the people...oh my. Like this lady in front of us dancing. Here is a short preview of how amusing this was. Sorry it's sideways, I'm tech challenged..but you get the point.

This is me, Garet and his best friend Dakota. We laughed all night..so fun!

9mm....hmm should I be allowed to touch?

For my husbands job he travels 2-3 days a week. Thus making some nights for me alone. Not that every once and awhile I like some peace and quiet I do, but to know you have your husbands big arms around you makes you feel, oh so safe. So on these nights when I don't have Garet's "guns" around me he decided to put one on the night stand. This is me and my attempt to learn to shoot my gun and Garet's AR15..which is an assault rifle for those who don't know. Go ahead. Take a gander.

Oklahoma State Fair

This was our first time to a state fair. What a crazy experience. The kids had a ball. Every bit of food was deep fried. From your regular corn dogs to twinkies. The people that worked there are absolutely gross. But the people that attend are just as disgusting. Regardless of how many pieces of gum were stuck to our shoes, or how much grease was lingering on our skin...we had a blast. Jett tried hitting everything with his sword he won at the fish pond. Jaxon loved the bungy trampoline. Here in Oklahoma, part of the fair is livestock and other animals. The boys loved the chicks that were hatching and the pig races for oreo's. Oh the interesting experiences we continue to enjoy in Oklahoma.

Just Because...Shout Out to Great Husbands!

This is how the week started... He asked what was one of the things that I enjoy to do, I told him I love broadway. Broadway has been something I have grown up watching and enjoying. You don't get much of it out here in Oklahoma. The last trip my mom and I took to New York we saw an"Off Broadway" show called "Spelling Bee", ps and btw its hilarious, so Garet decided to surprise me with tickets. I can't hardly wait!

The next day I get home from work and find super bright beautiful flowers waiting to brighten my day. The weather here in Oklahoma has been somewhat gloomy and this was the perfect remedy.

The next night he tells me we are going to dinner and he takes me to a very quaint and quiet restaurant. The perfect atmosphere to be romantic and sweet.

So all you wives out there that have stories like mine please do share. So shout out to all you great husbands. Keep it up!
